Dear Members and Partners:
The next coronavirus relief bill is worth an initial estimate of $900 billion. The bill unlocks hundreds of billions of dollars in relief funding for small- and medium-sized business lending programs, including the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Funding is also allocated towards the nationwide vaccine distribution program.
Thank you to U.S. Representative Jodey Arrington, Senator Ted Cruz and Senator John Cornyn for carrying the West Texas business interests in this bi-partisan bill.
Your Chamber is actively following the bill to communicate how you can get access to PPP funds, and recommend reaching out to your local lender for additional information. We're blessed in that Abilene's financial landscape is populated by strong, local institutions that qualify as SBA lenders. They are institutions we know and trust and are members of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.
